A local footwear brand is set to feature on the new Cotswold Monopoly Board which launches this week.  The range of ‘Cotswold’ hiking boots and wellingtons is set to join other famous Cotswold landmarks in the area including Broadway Tower, Sudeley Castle and Tewkesbury Abbey.
The infamous ‘boot’ has been a classic part of monopoly since the game’s debut, modelled after the practical work shoe of the 1930’s. The boot retired roughly around five years ago, replaced by a ‘dinosaur’ and an ‘emoji’. Now boots are featured once again with local brand ‘Cotswold Shoes in the token form of a pair of hikers. The brand’s wellingtons and hikers are inclusive, suitable for all the family, and not only that, a necessity in the local Cotswold lifestyle.  
Other tokens in the game include a tractor, replacing the classic car token following a public vote amongst good humoured Cotswoldians, and a sheep instead of the Scottie Dog favourite.
Players can enjoy (and own!) some of the most picturesque sites the UK has to offer, from The Cotswold Way to Broadway From a trip to the Model Village at Bourton-on-the-Water, followed by a breathtaking walk up Cleeve Hill, the highest point of the Cotswold hill range. Batsford and Westonbirt Arboretums are on there as well as the 18th-century Painswick Rococo Garden and the glorious Sudeley Castle.

Other local brands are also featured on the new Monopoly game - including The Little Soap Company based at Broadway, Pragnell jewellers in Warwickshire and, unsurprisingly, Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop at Chipping Norton.
1649266004130Cotswold Monopoly was launched at a prestigious unveiling event at Sudeley Castle, Cheltenham by Mr Monopoly.  Over the last 25 years Winning Moves UK has produced official versions of MONOPOLY .. from Dubai to Dublin and Palm Springs to Sydney. Now the MONOPOLY dice have landed on the Cotswolds.  The board game is available to purchase at leading shops including WHSmith, The Works, Amazon and Booghe.co.uk.
