Housebuilder Redrow secures land for 140 new properties in Bedfordshire
One of the biggest housebuilders in Britain has confirmed that they've formally acquired land for a development of brand new homes just outside of Luton in Bedfordshire.
Redrow has secured a 15.75 acre site in Harlington, just some seven miles north of Luton. The housebuilding firm plan to build a mixture of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes on the new housing estate.
The plan is to provide not just properties for private sale, but to create a generous amount of affordable housing for the area as well. The recently-submitted Planning Application is for around 140 homes.
The exciting new development is set to feature a play area with outdoor playground equipment, lush green spaces, and footpath links.
Ed Lindley, who is the Land Director for Redrow in the South Midlands, said this about the acquisiton: "We're thrilled to announce that we have acquired the land in Harlington to bring much-needed, new homes to the area. At Redrow, we aspire to create sustainable, thriving communities at each of our developments by building high-quality homes and investing in the surrounding community, and this development will be no different."
"Although early days, we expect that the development will be incredibly popular with growing and established families, and we encourage potential buyers to register their interest now to be among the first to hear when plots at this fantastic development become available."
Planning application for the site is currently in progress, with construction at the development hoped to commence in Spring 2023.
