Good Energy Group appoints former moneysupermarket man as new CEO
Following Juliet Davenport's announcement in February that she wanted to step back from her role as CEO in Chippenham-based renewable energy supplier, Good Energy Plc, the Group has appointed Nigel Pocklington as her successor. Nigel is expected to join the Good Energy Board and take up the CEO post on 1 May 2021.
Nigel most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer of Moneysupermarket.com Group plc. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior roles within Expedia Inc., including President of eBookers and Chief Marketing Officer of Hotels.com. He spent a decade of his early career at Pearson plc, including a period leading the digital operations of the Financial Times. Nigel is also a Non-Executive Director for Kin and Carta plc, a global digital transformation business focused on helping make the journey to becoming a digital business tangible, sustainable and profitable, where he chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees.
Juliet Davenport will remain on the Group Board, stepping down as CEO and taking up the role of Non-Executive Director of Good Energy, while remaining Chair of subsidiary vehicle charging company Zap-Map. Juliet will continue in her role as Chief Executive Officer until Nigel's appointment on 1 May 2021.
