Gloucestershire e-bike retailer expands into Bristol
Following dramatic growth in sales over the past year, Edemo Electric Bikes, a specialist Riese & Muller e-bike dealer based in Nailsworth, is opening a second site in Bristol.
The company has agreed terms on Unit 5.5, one of the original units from the first phase of conversion at the Paintworks scheme in Bristol.
Edemo plans to use the unit as offices and for distribution.
Riese and Müller have been pioneers and innovators in eBike manufacturing. Started by two German engineers, the company won innovation awards within 1 year of launching and has grown to become an internationally renowned leader in the eBike game.
Tom Dugay of Alder King, which led the Bristol letting to Edemo, said: “Bristol has long been known as a cycling city and with increased availability of electric bikes, more of us are using them for both commuting and leisure. It’s great news that Edemo has decided to open a second outlet and I’m sure they’ll continue to prosper here.”
Edemo has taken the unit on a five year lease from the landlord Bright Property Development Ltd. The unit provides 1,140 sq ft of ground floor and mezzanine accommodation and one dedicated car parking space.
Located on the site of a former Victorian paint factory on the A4 Bath Road, Paintworks has become a hugely successful mixed use development and, with many of its occupiers in the technology media and telecoms sector, has become known as Bristol’s creative quarter.
