Foresight Group eyeing more Midlands investment after reaching £100M milestone
Investment manager Foresight Group is keen to fund more ambitious companies across the Midlands having already pumped in a milestone £100 million into the region to date.
The FTSE 250 group invests across growth and buyout helping firms realise their aims. It also makes venture investments across deep tech, hard tech, enterprise software and innovative technologies.

It says its investments have created 775 high-quality local jobs.
"The Midlands is home to a diverse and inspirational business community, packed with entrepreneurs and dynamic teams ready to take their enterprises to the next level," said Ray Harris, director at Foresight Group.
"Our passionate and experienced team has significant funds to invest here and are very keen to meet business owners and their advisors to discuss how we can potentially support them on their growth journey."
Investees include Nottingham-based Lightbulb Credit, which provides solutions so companies to monitor and improve their credit rating. Lightbulb has helped SMEs to raise over £700 million in funding.
Foresight has also backed Loughborough university spin-out Previsico, a developer of a software-based flood forecasting and warning system and ReadyGo, a start-up diagnostics company, which detects infectious diseases.
It has also invested in rapidly growing Postworks, a Northamptonshire company which has digitised the corporate mail sector.

"Our investment is much more than providing funding – we have a large network of contacts and non-executives who play an important role in helping management teams to grow sustainably, benefiting the local economy."
