Birmingham's adi Group ramps up festive fundraising this year

Birmingham-headquartered engineering firm adi Group has ramped up its charity fundraising efforts this Christmas.
The city's children’s hospital charity was the group's charity of the year - for the second consecutive year - and the team helped out at a Christmas grotto.
Dressed as Santa and his elves, staff brought smiles to young patients and handed out presents. The business has raised over £130,000 for the charity to date.
Kicking off this year's activities for adi was Save the Children UK’s Christmas Jumper Day, with staff raising funds to help children in need around the world.
The team also helped out at the Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre gift-wrapping stall, with all donations going directly towards providing care to families and individuals facing life-limiting illnesses.
The adi team were also at 'Operation Christmas Child' at The Samaritans’ Purse National Centre in Coventry.
Volunteers from the engineering group unloaded cartons of shoeboxes and moved them around the warehouse, ensuring gifts reached children in more than 100 countries.
adi Group CEO Alan Lusty said: "Though we are proud to be partnered with Birmingham Children's Hospital’s Charity as our charity of the year, we are still committed to supporting a broad range of charities.
"This Christmas, I’d like to thank every single employee who volunteered their time, donated money to support a particular cause, and took it upon themselves to find new ways to make a positive impact. I am proud to be at the helm of a company whose responsible business activities are truly a priority."
Division adi Electrical also sponsored the Banbury Tractor run in aid of Katharine House Hospice in Oxfordshire.
With a team member driving the festive-decorated tractor, the event supported the local charity in providing vital care to those with life-limiting illnesses.
To complete the festive fundraising, the adi team are putting together 47 gift hampers for Lucton House, a residential home for the elderly in Bournville, Birmingham.
