Automotive giant celebrates King’s Award for International Trade with VIP ceremony
Swindon-based BG Automotive (BGA), a leading name in the global automotive aftermarket, was honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for International Trade. The award presentation, which took place at BGA’s UK headquarters, welcomed a very special guest HM King Charles’s representative, The Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Troughton who ppresented the award and ceremonial scroll.
As one of Swindon’s key employers, BGA opened its doors to showcase its achievements and its strong ties to the local community. The Lord Lieutenant, along with other guests, was given a guided tour of BGA’s offices, warehouse, and Research & Development centre.
Live demonstrations showed how BGA’s products are rigorously tested against OEM standards, highlighting BGA’s commitment to producing aftermarket parts that consistently meet or surpass original quality.
Chris Cameron, BGA’s MD, said: “This award means so much to us. It’s a tribute to the dedication of our team here in the UK and the trust of our export partners and customers across more than 75 countries. We couldn’t have reached this point without the hard work, commitment, and resilience shown by everyone involved.”
The celebration extended to more than 150 BGA team members.
BGA, which has become a cornerstone in Swindon’s economy, continues to grow at a remarkable 20-30 per cent each year.
