This includes a £7.2m loan to convert a Grade-II listed building to 32 apartments in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham and an £8.5m loan on the conversion of a former office block into new residential and commercial units.

Across the wider region, it has made a £26.2m loan for a 196-studio PBSA development near the University of Warwick and a £12.4m loan on a 76-bed care home in Worcester.

CEO Chris Gardner said: "The opening of our Birmingham office underscores our commitment to funding property development in the region.

"We have already delivered custom finance solutions to a diverse range of residential, PBSA and care projects in the Midlands and our Birmingham office launch only consolidates our plans for growth."

The office will be headed up by Birmingham-based lending Director Rav Kudhail and is at Birmingham’s prestigious Colmore Row.

Atelier plans to expand its custom finance solutions to developers in Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and further afield towards Leeds and Manchester.

Atelier delivers bespoke development finance solutions for SME developers and intermediaries across the UK. Loans are available from £5m to £40m on residential, student accommodation and care schemes.
