AccXel Construction School hails tie-up with leading national property maintenance group
Gloucestershire's AccXel Construction School has announced a tie-up with major UK property maintenance firm Wates Group, which will see the former deliver education for the latter's trainee programme.
AccXel said it has been selected as one of only two educational institutions in the country to deliver bespoke training for the Wates’ programme, with the first cohort of 65 enrolling for 2024.
It will generate significant inward investment into the Gloucestershire area as the trainees hail from across the UK.
They will reside locally, staying in the recently refurbished Belfry Hotel, owned within the K W Bell Group of companies, further supporting the local economy.
Natalie King, managing director and principal of AccXel, said: "We are honoured to partner with Wates Group in delivering education to their apprentices.
"This collaboration reflects our shared mission to drive excellence in the sector and raise the standards of construction and built environment education. By developing the next generation of sector talent, we are laying the foundations for the industry’s future."
Alison Reid, early careers manager at Wates Group, added: "Partnering with AccXel ensures that our apprentices receive top-tier education that meets the evolving demands of our business and our industry.
"This partnership is a vital part of our long-term commitment to nurturing talent and providing our teams with the skills they need to lead Wates into the future."
Wates Group Ltd is a family-owned development, building and property maintenance company with over 125 years of experience and a £2.2bn turnover.
