Abingdon-based Infineum acquires ISCA UK emulsifiers business unit
Specialty chemical company Infineum is to acquire ISCA UK emulsifiers business unit in a deal that secures ISCA’s ISCAMUL emulsifier brand and formulation expertise.
This acquisition signals a move back into the emulsion explosives market by the Abingdon-based company, where existing capabilities can be leveraged to better serve existing and potential new customers.

This multi-million pound investment in their site close to Didcot, generated more than 50 new jobs for chemists and engineers, to research better and more sustainable solutions in the automotive, transmissions and fuels additives business. The building has delivered improved infrastructure, including new laboratories for leading edge research and development, along with a variety of collaborative and agile meeting spaces, and a new restaurant for employees and visitors.
