The Thames Valley 250 is an annual ranking celebrating the top privately-owned businesses in the region listed by annual sales turnover.
Qualifying companies must be independent and headquartered in the Thames Valley.
The 2025 edition of the Thames Valley 250 is researched and compiled by The Business Magazine and sponsored by law firm Gateley Legal, insurance and benefits brokers Verlingue, accountancy firm Crowe UK, recruitment agency Michael Page and energy and sustainability adviser Inspired PLC
Cumulatively the 250 companies have an annual turnover of £33.5b and the companies on the 2025 ranking create an impressive 144,000 jobs.
All members are invited to enter the nominations for this year’s awards which will recognise outstanding achievements in eight categories. A private networking dinner will be held on 17th September 2025 at Easthampstead Park, Wokingham, to celebrate these achievements.

Awarded to a privately-owned business that has grown considerably year-on-year with a compelling story to tell; that has shown stellar growth and can demonstrate it is well set up to continue this growth trajectory over the next financial year, thereby having a hugely positive impact on the Thames Valley community.
This award celebrates and showcases leadership teams who champion their contribution to the community, prioritise the development and leadership capability of their people, and strive for excellence in products or services to build a business with a strong inclusive culture and strategic direction.
This award aims to recognise businesses from the Ranking that have demonstrated outstanding international performance in the last 12 months, either through expanding export sales by entering new regions; significantly increasing revenue and/or business activity in existing markets; successfully establishing operations in new territories; or adopting an innovative, proactive, or pragmatic approach to international business activities in response to the challenges or opportunities arising from changes in the global economic and geopolitical landscape.

Awarded in recognition of the outstanding achievements of a CEO/managing director and the leadership team in growing the business, driving innovation, establishing the culture of the company and developing the brand. The judges will also be keen to hear details of how the CEO has led the company, overcoming challenges or to support the wider community.
